Our Opinion

We love this tent...

We purchased this 4-man tent on offer just before heading to a festival, and it exceeded our expectations for space, comfort, and weather performance.

Space & Layout

One of the biggest advantages of this tent is the large living area, where you can stand up comfortably. The clear separation between the living space and sleeping area makes the tent feel organised and practical, especially for longer stays.

Although there are only two of us using the tent, we’ve consistently found 2-man tents too small. This 4-man tent provided plenty of room for sleeping, storage, and daily use — ideal for over-packers or anyone who wants extra comfort.

The bedroom comfortably fits a double air mattress, with additional space along the sides for clothing bags and toiletries.

Weather Performance

We tested this tent on the Welsh Llŷn Peninsula, where it was exposed to strong coastal winds. The tent remained stable and secure throughout stormy conditions, making it a reliable option for unpredictable weather.

Light, Ventilation & Comfort

The large windows in the living area are a standout feature. On rainy days, we were able to sit inside, stay sheltered, and still enjoy the view outside — a huge bonus for festival camping or wet-weather trips.

Another key benefit is that the interior is fully enclosed. There’s no loose groundsheet acting as the floor, which helps keep insects out and makes the living area feel cleaner and more secure.

Setup & Ease of Use

With only three poles, this tent is relatively quick and easy to set up, even for beginner campers.

That said, it did take a few attempts to ensure the tent was properly aligned and tensioned. Getting it straight is important to prevent sagging sides. This may come down to setup technique rather than a design flaw, but it’s worth being aware of.

However...

The main downside is the front door design. While it has zips along the sides, there is no zip at the bottom, meaning the door doesn’t fully seal shut. There is a built-in lip to help reduce wind and rain, but we improved this by adding inexpensive Velcro to the bottom flap, which worked well.

Review Summary

Pros:

  • Spacious and comfortable for up to two people (technically up to 4 but we have not tested this).

  • Quick and easy setup with colour-coded poles.

  • Well-designed for weather protection, keeping you dry and comfortable.

  • Good ventilation with mesh panels and adjustable vents.

  • Practical features like storage pockets and hanging lantern points.

Cons:

  • The tent’s size may be a bit bulky for those looking for an ultralight option.

  • While waterproof, it may not hold up to extremely heavy rain over an extended period.

  • The front door needed some DIY to help performance as mentioned
